Why do people blame Bush for the rising gas prices?

• Are you aware that this is beyond his control? He tried to permit drilling in Alaska for oil but our lovely (not) Democratic-controlled congress wouldn't let him, and of course the same liberals that whine about gas prices all the time whined about the environment, so he couldn't pass the bill. At least he TRIED to do something about it, but the Democrats wouldn't let him. Besides, the price of gas is way higher in Europe and the price is rising almost everywhere. If Obama comes into office, are you liberals going to blame him for every thing that happens under his presidency the way you blamed every little thing on Bush, or are you going to give him a free pass while the media glorifies him as you pin it all on Bush for 100's of years from now?
