Should Rush Limbaugh be fired? I'll use Bill Maher as my example..?

• Many on here are trying to absolve Limbaugh due to his comments not being any worse than Maher's comments on Sarah Palin. Maher, being that he works for HBO, will not be fired for his comments, however he was fired from his previous show on ABC; 'Politically Incorrect' for a comment he made a week after 9-11. Bill Maher said that the terrorists who flew the planes that attacked us that day were "not cowardly" for what they did. He was then fired by ABC, who's parent company is and was, Disney. Bill Maher's 'Politically Incorrrect,' like every show on a non-pay channel, has to have sponsors. It was business for ABC to drop him. Much like it is business for many of Rush's sponsers to leave him, and radio channels not to broadcast him. HBO is now a safe haven for Bill Maher to spout just about anything he desires. Rush Limbaugh, like Maher back in the day, is not on a pay channel, but is picked up nationally. So should Rush be fired? Should the market figure it out? If he loses enough sponsors will he have broadcast on SiriusXM like shock-jock Howard Stern(who, ironically shares the same birthday of January 12)?

  FIred from what? He doesn't work for anyone. His show is syndicated and radio stations BUY it. Should he be taken off the air despite the fact that people still want to listen to him? Nope. The sponsors who left will come back after the smoke clears. He still has a popular show and they will still want to reach that many listeners.
