is it a fair and balanced without public option? why not government gives ppl a chance a good option to shop around and get great health care available in the free market? If government is great providing security and safety with military and police forces if government is great providing Education Why not government provide a health care too?

Answer:
Name one thing the government runs effectively? Social Security - Bankrupt Amtrack - Bankrupt Schools - under performing Medicare & Medicade - bankrupt and full of corruption the list goes on. The simplest fix is to change the eligibility requirements to Medicare and Medicade. However that is way too simple. They want to screw it up for all of us.

You guys complain about a 1000 page heath care bill but have you ever read an insurance policy? People shop around for health care insurance everyday and still get medical care denied. Public Option=Competition Why do free market republicans hate competition?

It's a sham. If Obama and other Dem's, don't get behind public option, they will be handed their hats and sent back home.

Without a public option they are not doing anything but screwing up a good system. Offer Medicare to: People with pre-exisiting Those on unemployment Then you can start to consider the remainder. Don't screw up everyone else plans on the way. Is this too simple?

It is not a reform of health care at all. Instead it is a gift to the insurance companies. People will be forced to buy insurance policies they neither want nor need or pay a fine.

A health reform bill without a robust public option will not achieve the health reform this country so desperately needs. I am through with Obama. Next time some one tells me hes a socialist, they can go **** themselves. Hes anything but socialist.

Why don't they allow states to sell insurance across state borders? That would make competition, without more government............and if I am correct, the government already HAS health care-medicare and medicaid, why don't you change the guidelines that exist now, so more people qualify......Hmmm, with all of that..........You don't need yet ANOTHER government program. And education? We are not exactly the smartest country in the world, not the last time I checked. Why do so many college students need to take remedial math in college?

If we don't get the public option in there... let's just say there will be a lot of angry people upset at the president and other Dem's that were supposed to be behind this. They need to stop being so wimpy and just do it!
