Did anybody notice how BIG PHARMA and the insurance industry wrote themselves a nice piece of legislation?

  • To preface: BOTH major parties are PAID FOR. (Which broke MULTIPLE campaign promises......lobbyists, transparency, corruption etc.) --------------------------------------… So then we started hearing all the propoganda about how the opposition to Obama's reform was being funded by the insurance industry..........turns out, ALL SIDES got paid WELL by the insurance industry last year. As the "reform" currently stands: 1)There would be no public option (no competition for insurance companies). 2)There will be a mandate to buy insurance or face a tax penalty (50 million new customers for the insurance industry) 3)Obama's BIG PHARMA deal means that importing cheaper prescription drugs from Canada is completely out of the question (50 million new insured will need drugs too:) So IT WOULD SEEM that BOTH major parties have been doing some VERY CLEVER political posturing that will result in a HUGE WINDFALL of profits for both the pharmaceutical and insurance industries. But they wil try to spin it 2 different ways: Repubs: Well at least this bill is better than one with the public option. (because insurance industry owns us) Dems: Well this proves we can have a bipartisan solution. (We sold out our platform in 6 months in exchange for money) What do you think?

    Good nutrition, homeopathy and preventive medicine would prevent much of the pill-pushing medical practice. Now granted, profits does allow pharmaceuticals to develope new wonder drugs BUT because simple organic cures can't be patented (cinammon for diabetes, vitamen D or the graviola bean for cancer, colloidal silver to fight infections, etc.) they are letting people suffer and die from these diseases while they try to synthesize patentable drugs to do the same thing. Yes, it's Chicago politics, once they get onboard, they are no longer the enemy. Obamacare supoporters are running around with bumper stickers accusing HMO's of being the real "death panels" but what makes it less evil when the government does it? I'm against EITHER. I'm against Obamacare because I don't see it as reforming anything, only making drug companies richer. I'm certainly no fan of insurance companies, but who is it that already dictates to insurance companies? The government. Then why do they need to force this unread bill down our throats when they could "reform" regulations on the insurance iundustry? Did Ted Kennedy stop getting expensive treatments and go home and take a pain pill, as Uhbama has suggested others do?

Ha ha $150 million for commercials to push obama care. Hey he admits he is, in the dark on the 1,018 page, 2.541 section bill driven by over 100,000 pages of rules and regulations. I believe that it is normal for the party in power to ge the 55%-45% split of the money, but they sold out last year. If you look at Health care sector they threw half a billion at our great elected officials. So you are on target for this, but these guys did the same thing they did with the Medicare Prescription Drug deal (I think). Wh is the guy n the administration that his company is getting a tiny $12 million advertising deal from the White House so he can get his $2 million they owe him. It is sad, cause now, in the late summer you can get preemptible commercials for 90% of cost and don't have be worried about being bumped. Many could use that money. if it's to help the people then find a number and help them now, not four years down the road when it kicks in in 2013. Have a wonderful 2009!
