How do you calculate ASVAB scores?

ASVAB, Line Scores Question?

  • I took the ASVAB, and my overall score was 69. Line scores needed to become 68W are 101 ST and 107 GT. My score in ST was 106 and GT was 106. Is their a chance that I could get the 68W MOS? Will I need to take the asvab again, it's just one point off. I go to MEPS tomorrow to pick my job, and I just learned tonight that I need those 2 scores- I was under the impression the whole time that I only needed to score 101 in ST. My recruiter isn't much help- she just tells me to talk with the counselor at MEPS. I want to be a medic BADLY!

  • Answer:

take it again, you need that score... your GT score is the most important one for the Army.. if you did it once, your just going to do it better the second time. good luck

I'm not sayin anything bad bout the Army. I've enlisted in the Navy as a HM which is a corpsman. I'm not sure bout my line scores but I got a 57 on the asvab and was able to get HM and 8404 which is what I wanted. If they're nice they'll give it to you if not you'll have to retake it.

they might be nice to you but you will most likely you will have to retake it.
