Is it OK to increase validation checks and decrease min gradient while training neural network?

OK....I need to train my a$$ off...HELP!?

  • So I'm going to take the Pre-qualification for BUD/s (Navy SEAL training). I can make the bare minimum, but I want to do a whole lot better. How do I increase my pull up/ push up/ sit up reps and how do I decrease my running time in about.....2-3 months by A LOT! I can run an average of a 6-7 minute mile but the preferred score would be 8:30 for 1.5 miles. I can push out about 50-60 push ups in 2 minutes. The preferred reps are in the 90-100 range. I'm good with sit ups. And with pull ups I need to get at least 6 with a preferred 20. I can do about 9 but definitely want to bump up to the 20 range. So if you have any info or you're a triathlete or really good at any of the above, the advice would be golden! Please no B.S. i'm still going to push it 50 times harder in the gym, I would just like to know if someone has tips on how to do more reps and decrease swim time and run time. I'm not going to be using any type of pre workout booster (e.g. Cellucor C4, Amino Energy, NOXplode.) Thanks to all who answer in advance! Wish me luck

I would suggest that you find a scheduled workout program tailored to Pre-Buds training. Check you local Barnes and Nobles or go online and check the workouts out on http://www.stewsmith.com/ or by anyone else who has verifiably passed BUD/s.

I would recommend joining the SEAL forum.

It doesnt really matter how many pushups, situps or how fast you can run that isnt going to determine wether you make it or not, If it was everyone would be a Seal. What you have to do is buy a rucksack and go on 5,10,15,20 mile marches. Go to the pool atleast twice a week and try swimming with weight on, also try to increase your time under water, make sure you run 2 miles every day and try to run with a little weight on. But only you determine wether you pass or fail it all has to do with mental toughness. When you feel uncomfortable or want to give up thats where the mental toughness should come in to play but if you dont have it you will not make it into the seals. Also you need motivation and have to want this.
