Is it hard to become a dentist?

Can you become a dentist after joining the forces?

  • If you join, can you become a dentist through their education or do you have to become a dentist first to join? -ps: I REALLY WANT TO BECOME A DENTIST!! And I'm only 16 and don't know where to start to become one. (I also want to join the forces to serve my country (canada)).

  • Answer:

The Best way to become a dentist is through either the Navy or Army Officer programs.....or to just go to college for it. Personally if you want to go to the military route start talking to those branches recruiters about the different officer program. I suggest the navy cause im in it so i am biased but just know that going in to the officer programs is hard cause they dont have many spots and you got to jump through some hoops to get one. Also if you go Navy side and they try to convince you to be a Dental tech, know that, that is not a dentist it is more like a dental assistant. I hope this helped

I have a few friends going through the dental ROTP program as of now. You have to enroll in ROTP, Speak to a recruiter about this at your local CFRC, as I can't really explain or tell you about the ROTP.
