Do Marines have any morals?

  • Eleanor Roosevelt said, "The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps! " In WWII the Marines would allocate food and necessities from the Army. In Korea, the Marines rescued so much abandoned Army equipment that they Army finally said, "OK, just paint Marines over Army but, leave the serial number so we can account for our equipment." In Vietnam Marines would confiscate goods which were needed by fighting units. My goodness, don't these Marines have morals or do they just look after their fighting men? My, how the world has changed. In this PC environment, even Marines are expected to behave with morals. God have mercy on the Marines!

    In Iraq, the people that would do road side ambushes knew the difference between Marine & Army uniforms and would attack the Army, but not the Marines. They knew the Army would keep driving, but the Marines would go out of their way to "get" them. That's why they refuse to goto the new multi-cam in Afghan. Their uniform is a show of force, just like they are. The world needs them, and I could personally care less about their "morals." Kill bad guys, mess their stuff up.
