Its definatly 'f*cked up beyond all recognition' coz it started in hospitals and theres an extra bit 'FUBAR BUNDY' which is 'f*cked up beyond all recognition but unfortunatly not dead yet'

Actually there are 3 phrases. A) FUBAR, B) SNAFU and C) TARFU A) F*cked Up Beyond All Recognition B) Situation Normal All F*cked Up C) Things Are Really F*cked Up Take you pick and use wisely but most of all enjoy.

Well we always used it as 'F*cked up beyond all repair' although i never really thought of the 'F*cked up beyond all recognition' before. We usually use it to describe a vehicle or a weapon.

F'ed up beyond all recognition. Now, what that means outside of the initials... It means things are so bad you cannot understand what they were supposed to be. Hmmmph.... You have a project to develop a business application. You have almost finished it, then the CIO (chief information officer) of the company brings in a friend to be the project director. He tells you to rewrite it in Flash and JRun. (Java middlewhere), and they put an OO programmer in charge of it (Object Orientation. Don't ask, I don't have the time to explain) It takes another two years, and you still cannot get it out the door because it is not stable (it does not work consistantly). You could have finished the project two years ago. Meanwhile the CIO fires you for not completing the project. That, my friend, is the definition of FUBAR
