How to make a smoke bomb?

Is it possible to make a really powerful smoke bomb with volcanic ash cloud proportions?

• Because I'm looking for eyewitness accounts to the Iceland volcano eruption (with a focus on eyewitness video captured accounts in order to see if the expressions are genuine or not) and the footage of the explosion is either footage of it arising above the clouds or stock footage of volcanic activity with time stamps that are as credible as any kind of recorded info open to manipulation for the sake of misinformation. I guess, over dramatic concern would subside if I could just find some 'seemingly genuine' eye witness accounts of the eruption... ...we have industrial factories able to spew large chunks of smoke clouds into the air that can, in turn trap heat and change global climate; likewise, wouldn't a powerful enough smoke bomb do the same? It's crazy, yeah, but human expression can convey an amount of sincerity unmatched by typed letters and outlandish musings.

Lots of smoke can do lots of things to change weather patterns. Volcanoes release obscene amounts of greenhouse gases, makes humans look pitiful. Ironically, instead of triggering a heat trapping warming phase, they tend to prevent sun from reach the planet and instead send us towards an ice age. The way our atmosphere behaves is defined by its composition in elements; gasses. So, yes, putting a large amount of stuff in the atmosphere will change how it behaves.
