How can I get in touch with a Mechanical Engineer?

Civil engineer seabee army national guard or marines?

  • Hello, I would like to be a civil engineer for the military as a career (for the rest of my life) Currently I am in ROTC to become an officer and will get my BA in engineering in about 1 more year. So, what is best for my career? ARNG seabees marines or army? I would just like to be a civil engineer and do what I was trained to do, which is to use cad, draft, plan, organize, and design civil projects. please no stupid crap like "you will not do that you do what ever is needed" I see answers like that all the time. That is untrue. I know about 5 or 6 civil engineers who joined the military, it is just they hard to get in touch with. They do no combat. They command troops "because that is what civil engineers do and trained to do" Yes i know it is dangerous AND I DO NOT CARE ABOUT DANGER! So stop with the "don't join if you do not want to deploy" I know whats the danger I know what they do. I know the number one cause of deaths of civil engineer are usually camp raids or ieds in the military. I would just like an honest answer from someone who actually knows. See what is best. I know there is the army corps of engineers, but do you have to be a civilian and a non military personal? If I were to join as a seabee, would I wear camo just like in the army? or wear that sailor suit while training?? I am sorry, I just like the camo suits lmao. Just for a few pointers, I do not mind being deployed. I do like working in civilian projects in any USA state or and other country. And I like the digi camos lol. I dont know, for some reason white bothers me. Well, for your personal opinions, please tell me what best suits a civil engineer and an rotc officer grad. and I do plan on have a perm career

  • Answer:

Depends on what ROTC is helping pay for your college, if its Army I'd try Army Corps of Engineers or Civil Affairs Battalion. Navy, Seabees is good if you like to be a construction worker with a uniform. ANG isn't the way to go to make a career in anything.
