Tips on a selective high school test?

Ok im 18 a high school graduate i'm not dumb just need tips on the asvab test please give me advice?

    No one said you're dumb, Grow up! Just concentrate on the basics of Math and Language arts, because those are the most important scores. Seriously though, it's an easy test, you more than likely have nothing to worry about. if you got a 2.0 gpa in high school, you'll probably pass above the minimum you need to get in.

the ASVAB has sections that can be studied for. Reading, math, etc. SAT and ACT pre courses work great for that, take a few workshops, for those and it will help. But there are some sections, tool ID, critical thinking, abstract thinking sections that you cant study for. Think IQ test. YOu either know it or you don't. Some are a pictures of a shape or shapes. Then there are 5 pictures of the shapes put together, and they want you to pic one. It tests your ability in spatial relation, you cant test for that. So show a pulley system and ask you which way the belt is going. Take a bunch of tests, start small and make them longer and longer, so you get OK with testing for 4 hrs. or so. Most people get tired and start ABCDE their way through it. DONT DO THAT, this is a important test. It will determine what jobs you can have. But the good thing is you can take it over and over and over. So you get a redo. Good luck and take your time

Get the study guide and use the practice tests. When you've practiced so much you want to give up, take a day off then keep practicing. If your nerves interfere with other aspects of your life besides testing, you might want to consider another profession.
