Army diving school questions?

Im currently enlisted in the us army and I will be going to basic training this summer followed by army diving school. I heard that the school is one of the hardest schools in the army and I was wondering as to why this is. The drop out rate for the school was somewhere around 80% could someone tell me why? Or what do they do in diving school? That would be awesome.
