First off, if you are married and in the AF you can plan on moving every 3-4 years basically. Second. Do you plan on going to college at all? There are programs for military spouses. It might take you a while by taking a few classes here and there, but you can finish a degree. If you do not want to do a degree you can work at AAFES. But if you want to make it past cashier/sales associate, you still need to have some college behind you. If you like kids and have kids, you can do Home day care. The pay is good. My suggestion is this. If he plans on doing a full 20 years, you should either start working at the BX or Commissary (none college) or get a degree and then work a GS job on base. You can keep transferring your GS job from base to base. The pay is good and you can get a retirement from it. All GS jobs are on the USA website, they list them from all grades, even GS-3 or 4 which is like hiring a person right off the street (like a high school graduate).
