How do I turn off the underlined shortcuts on Yahoo News items?

Why are the news items so different between yahoo.com and yahoo.co.uk?

  • Today, news item on yahoo.com 'Roadside bombs kill 12 Iraqis in Baghdad' whilst on yahoo.co.uk 'Bagdad bombs kill 19' Is this some form of sanitising the news for the U.S people ?

  • Answer:

currency conversion of bombs. Apparently the $ bomb is worth more than the pound bomb.

THE NEWS WERE REPORTED BY TWO DIFFERENT REPORTERS.

If you looked at the time those reports were made, one was probably the first out (the one with 12) and they didn't have all the details. When the other came out, details had probably been handed to the press by those who deal with it. I have my "My Yahoo!" page set up with news agencies from all over the world, so I can read whats happening everywhere. The main two are the AP (Associated Press) here in the states, and Reuters in Britain.

different writers, different sites, posting at different times. you will find the same difference from ABC to CNN. The sites don't confer with each other before posting. As long as the sources are good, they post. No sanitizing.
