Are internships legal if your under the age of 16?

If the legal age of consent in my state is 16, and I'm 18, can I legally have sex with a 16 year old?

So you're saying that this girl is of legal age in your state. So technically you too are of legal age when you hit 16. I see no harm in it too. So as long as you're not in a position of power (teacher, employer, etc). Make sure it's out of her own free will too. Laws can be pretty funny some times in the sense of sex and marriage. Honestly I say go for, feed you instinct. But I am glad you thought about it first, thought about the law. Now thing about how you will feel after the deed is done. Take things in to account always man. Legally you're good to go since you both are of age. If it were in another state where legal adult age was 18 then you'll be FUBAR.

It's legal _unless_ you are in a position of power (You're her teacher, tutor, manager at work, etc.) In fact, I think North Carolina extends that to any employee of a school, not just a teacher.
