Do scientists ever feel guilty about how many millions of animals they tortured?

I agree. For over too many years now. For what? And i don't think they felt any guilt. And its not just scientists. We have very sick people out there in the world hurting animals. Its been proven if a child hurts animals too many times they end up doing other bad things that lands them in the pen. Wonder where half of those scientists are now. Take care. P.S. I've heard of people who hurt animals and today they are crippled in life in some form. Good for them!

Animals are just as important to the earth than we are at this point. We suck up resources and torture animals yet we are intelligent enough to find alternative solutions. It is not convenient enough for the human race to do so however. A lot of companies are really of no importance than to collect money and take up space. I don't think they need to be torturing living things. The medicine we have is a result of this however, again we are intelligent enough to find other methods. Make up, what a useless thing for something to suffer for.

some but not if they believe it is for a good or grander cause. most acts of evil occur when the person passes the blame on something else e.g. i was told to do this it's my job or it's gonna help people eventually

I was more concerned about the rabbits that died for eye make-up. One reason I hate the film "Project X". I'm sure it happens that way

I am sure they do feel guilty sometimes!!! Lol, I mean, when they need an animal for testing, they wish that they wouldnt have used the animal they used before for tesing because now they need it for the next experiment!!

if animal activists are so against animal testing why dont they volunteer themseleves to be tested on, oh no wait they woulnt do that they above hyporcrasy. Or are they, every medicine they ever been prescribed has been at some point in the past tested on animals. After all they arent just taking animals from homes to test upon. These animals are created in order to be tested upon. Their existence has a clear and definate purpose, unlike most human beings. If it was not for animal testing i would be dead and for it i am truly thankful. My objection is animal testing for the purpose of vanity!

Do you ever feel guilty when you take any medication that has been tested on animals? I don't think scientists should feel guilty when they are trying to help mankind. They don't torture animals. There are very strict guidelines for conducting experiments on animals. Next time you or a family member become sick remember that the medication that you will be given has been tested on animals. If you feel so strongly about it then don't take medication when you really need it e.g. Cancer, Diabetes, Pregnancy. Until there is a better method we simply have to test drugs somehow before we give them to humans.
