What would be my conflict of interest with legal aid?

I have been trying to get legal help from various sources. One source I was sent to was Texas Legal Aid. After getting my info, social, age, and other info(this is a visitation violation case, concerning my baby mom not letting me see the kids for almost 2 years, and a child support review) they put me on hold, then came back telling me they could not help me because of conflict of interest. I might mention that I work at the county district attorneys office but nothing big. I am not sure what could be being used against me, and they did not say. Is there a way to find out why I have this barred against me? or what reasons?

A conflict of interest could arise because they are also helping your baby's mom. They aren't able to help both sides.

It is probably the same situation as I had at one time. Legal Aid was acting as my wife's lawyer, so it would be a conflict to represent me as well. Simple.
