Does spray paint set off alarms in walmart?

  • No answers like "Don't shoplift" and "Stealing things is bad" this is a serious question, and I expect a serious answer. Besides, Walmart is extremely rich, and probably wont even notice, or care. Anyway, I'm in need of Spray Paint because I do graffiti murals LEGALLY on MY garage, but I don't have enough money to buy the good paint (Rustoleum, Krylon, etc.) so the only thing to do is rack, or "steal" it. People keep telling me that Barcodes set off the alarms (things at the door) but I thought it was only those rectangle sticky things on really expensive stuff. Can someone please tell me if the barcodes on spray paint at walmart will set off the alarm? I was thinking of just grabbing a bunch of cans, going around the corner, and shoving them in my back pack...then walking out, and HOPING not to get busted.

Dude, don't shoplift, stealing things is bad!! I once tried to shoplift a 52 inch plasma screen out of Wallmart. Of course I was high on PCP and tripping ballz, but still got halfway to the parking lot when they cough me. Turns out the TV didn't have any security devises, but it was still hooked to the home theater system, which on the way out, clipped a pair of women underwear, that did had a magnetic strip. Looking back on the incident, I probably should have disconnected the home theater, it was playing a Twilight movie, man I hate those movies.

They don't need to set off the alarms. Every Walmart has about 700 security cameras in the ceiling.
