How many U.S. presidents have not had a college degree?

If I already graduated from college w/an Associate Degree, can the college later revoke the degree?

  • I ask because one college course that I took required that I find and use a proctor (note: this one course was taken online through the College. All other courses were taken on campus). Now, the proctor was fired from the company we both worked for due to misconduct and now she is pissed off at the world and someone told me that she was going to call the College and say I forged her name on the proctored exam that required her certification (signature). She's trying to get the school to revoke my Associate Degree. If I've already graduated and received my degree and transcripts, can the College turn around and revoke my degree over this one [FALSE] accusation? All my other courses were taken without the need for a proctor, so can the College just take away my degree? I'm not sure if its important or not, but I don't owe the school any money.

  • Answer:

No college official would dare revoke a degree without hard core evidence. So you really don't have to worry. Of course if you did forge the document, you could be in trouble, not just with the school, but with the law. There is no way they can revoke your degree over this kind of small allegation. How long was the degree awarded, if it was over a year ago, you'd have to murder someone before the bureaucracy could get it together to revoke your degree. If she does something like this, just dispute it and take her to court and sue her and the college for a lifetimes worth of earnings. Say $1.5 or $2 million, or maybe even $6 million if you have can prove she lies in court. Given that she was fired from the company you work for, you have evidence that she might have a grudge.

what you should do is bring this up with the college. Keep all emails and evidence. I feel like you are leaving some information out. If she got fired, why would she put so much energy into having your degree taken away? Just doesn't make sense. Otherwise no, they can't, unless she can prove that you did falsify her signature.

Did you forge? If you did, you can count on your degree being rescinded. If not, sue the proctor or at least tell her that you intend to if she lies.

Colleges can revoke degrees with cause. Someone in my graduating class got his degree with us and 3 weeks later it was discovered that he plagarized an essay. Whoops.
