What are some good rock climbing gloves?

Are tactical Kevlar gloves legal in the state of connecticut?

  • The gloves located at: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_0000000000000000354700000000000000003483P?sid=IDx20101019x00001a&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=SPM3303005601 Because I wanted a pair to do some indoor rock climbing and paintballing but since they contain kelvar (The stuff they make bullet proof vests out of) I dunno if they fall into the same catalog as "Brass Knuckles" and "Switchblade knifes" which are illegal in connecticut....can a lawyer answer this question for me please? I dont wanna break the law?

  • Answer:

I am not from CT but I did look into your question very briefly. So far as I can tell, any form of body armor is legal long as you are not a convicted felon. Since a background check maybe required you will have to purchase body armor of any kind in person and NOT online. That said many retailers prefer to not sell body armor to anyone other than Law Enforcement or Military buyers. The Kevlar gloves would not be considered weapons so you don't have to worry about the weapon classifications. They might be considered body armor and the law is simply non-felons only and all purchases face to face. Added: I am not a lawyer but I have been certified and worked as a paralegal. Hope this helps.
