What does a Contract Renewal Representative do?

When signing a contract, who usually sign the "authorized representative"?

  • Ok, so I'm signing this contract as "Licensor" but there's one at the bottom that saids "Authorized Representative"--who is supposed to sign that? Should it be a lawyer? I don't have a lawyer. Help please!

  • Answer:

Typically the licensor would be your company, and you would be its authorized representative. A company may have many people who are authorized to bind the company to a contract. If you are the licensor personally, then there is no authorized representative necessary.
