Is it possible to find out who called you?

I called CPS on someone about their child. they are trying to find out who it is, is this possible?

• I called annonymously. They are trying to say that I falsified info. Which I told exact converstaions and that was it. If they find out it as me will it be held up in court? Can they really be told whom I am? I am wondering if they are using a scare tactic to get someone to confess. Yes it is the accused that are saying that the report is not true. Though I told the honest to god truth in everything that was said. I am worried about my children being retaliated on. They say that they are going to sue who it was and that an attorney says that if they can prove that all of the report was not true that they would be able to find out. Though I said everything word for word that the mother and I had spoke about. They are the type of people that want everyone to think they live in a prim and proper life. I am a nervous wreck and making that call took alot of time and thinking to do it. I contemplated for a while and am so nervous. They say they are going to sue and take out home.

  If you made the call in Good Faith (meaning that you really believed that the child was abused or neglected), then the law is on your side. You do Not have to produce any evidence, and your name will be kept confidinetial. The accused, even with evidence, cannot sue or press charges against a Good Faith reporter.
