How do i legally change my name in the state of California? and how much does it cost approximately?

• i want to change my name. ive always wanted to change my name since i was younger, because im a jr and it sucks not havin your own name. but now its a more serious matter. im gettin married within the next year, and i dont want to carry my father's last name. he's been abscent 4ever i think its only right to carry my stepdads last name since he raised me 4rm birth. or my grandpa's last name since it was my moms last name and my biological parents were never married. how do i go about this?
