• I was caught speeding 73 in a 50 zone at 11:30 pm. I have not had my license for a year and I snuck out to drive, meaning my parents did not know I took the car. It was stupid and I am truly regretful for what happened. I was issued a ticket and told I would be given a court date. The officer told me I can conplete start smart CHP driving course with a parent to have the citation waived, but it depends on the judge. What other consequences do I have? What is the price estimate for the fine? How long will my license be suspended for (if the judge decides so)? What do I have to do before my driving privledges return to normal? I am 16, in Oakland, California.
