If I apply for disability will I get it?

If a person is on social security disability and they get married will it affect the Diability? And how?

• I'm disabeled due to several illnesses, but I've ben thinking about getting married and need to know if it would affect my disability, because I can not afford to lose my disability payments or my Medicare. Because no insurance will cover my medical conditions. So there fore if getting married will cut out my disability and medicare I'll have to stay single.

  If your new spouse has medical insurance it will cover the bills as primary coverage, medicare will cover any in hospital expenses left over. The two sources of income will be added together at the end of the year for the IRS to determine how much of your disability payments will be taxed> That is it. I hope your new spouse will mean more to you than your monthly check, if not give him or her a break and stay single any
