How to change from legal Guardian?

How can i change my legal guardian?

• ok so i want my sister to be my legal guardian. i live with my dad and my step-mom and my sis(shes 18) and my mom never sighned the papers for us to be her legal kids when they got married so we tecnically are not her kids at all...and i want my sister to be my legal guardian now i am 15, 16 in november and i want to move out/run away. I have a place to go and i would love it if the person i would stay with if she could be my legal guardian but i think it would be better if my sister was...we have always been like eachothers moms we do everything in our house and for eachother that a mom should do...my step-mom doesnt do anything a real mom should....please help thank you so much!

  first of all, it's not the best idea to run away if you don't have any money or a job. if u can go to someone that can provide u with a roof over ur head, money, and can provide money for u for college if u dont have a job, and a stable environment and ur not happy at home then ur set. the only thing is you have to get ur dad to release his custody of u. doesnt matter about your mom. if ur dad has custody of u then theres nothing u can do UNLESS he releases custody.. other then that ur out of luck :T there is a second alternative. you can apply to be legally emancipated. but that would make you a full on adult and you wouldn't need a gaurdian. but, it's very hard to get legally emancipated. but if ur that unhappy then go here: http://www.larcc.org/pamphlets/children_family/teen_emancipation.htm hope i helped.. ps - im sorry that you're not happy at home...
