Answer:
acceptance of a unilateral agreement might mean you agree because "everyone else" thinks it's true. Ordinarily agreement means you may take some more time to think about it on your own terms...

Contract and agreement are used interchangeably, and by law definition: Unilateral contract - An agreement by which one undertakes an express performance without receiving any express promise of performance from the other. Example: The United States is the first to agree and sign that they will not test atomic weapons above ground, without any other nation agreeing to the same. Basically it puts pressure on others.

If it is unilaterelly accepted be everyone placing the votes, it is the most endorsed agreement. an example would be in congress, if every single congressman voted the on the same side of the issue. The House or Senate has full endorsement of all its subsidiaries to enforce a unilateral agreement or policy

An ordinary agreement is called a bi-lateral agreement or between two parties. A unilateral decision is when you do something no one else agrees to, like the invasion of Iraq by the USA without the U.N. Security Council's agreement. A multilateral agreement is between more than two parties.

Of course there is a huge difference..an agreement is a decision taken by two parts but a unilateral agreement means that if a decision concerns two people, one only takes the final decision so, the other part has the free will to accept or refuse it and that's what's happening in Palestine now..the Israeli prime minister has decided not to respect the past signed agreements and go ahead and take whatever he wants from the lands of Palestine.

If geopolitics, those "agreements" harm USA sovereignty and/or economy or both, if agreements are CFR or Trilateral Commission caused, then USA gets the dirty end of the shtick.~Randy

This is a Contracts Law question. In a unilateral contract, the terms are expressed in "If.....Then..." form. Example: "If you climb the Sears Tower, The Chicago Tribune will pay you $250,000.00." There is no obligation for actually climbing it, but if you do, they have to pay. But in a bilateral contract, Both parties must be bound to do something. If you order something from Amazon, for instance, Amazon must fill your order, and you have to pay for it. (modified by the Uniform Commercial Code, however)
Optional Language to make the Master Agreement "Unilateral", i.e., only covering sales from Party A to Party B The language set forth below may be appropriate for inclusion under the "Other Changes" section of the Cover Sheet if the parties desire to limit the Agreement's applicability only to sales of Products by Party A to Party B. Other Changes Unilateral Agreement. The definition of "Transaction" in Section 1.60 is amended to read, in its entirety, as follows: 1.60"Transaction" means a particular transaction agreed to by the Parties relating to the sale by Party A and the purchase by Party B of a Product pursuant to this Master Agreement.
