Are there any counselling volunteer work?

If you are a senior citizen and do not work, was it voluntary or involuntary? Do you do volunteer work? Why do?

• not work? My retirement was involuntary. I was forced to take early retirement and a reduction in benefits. I live at poverty level. Had a chunk of income I desperately needed, taken from me. I was healthy and able to work five years ago. I made a big move to another state, thought I had everything planned out to avoid failure. ALL my plans were aborted, much prejudice and discrimination. I then took another job, two, I found on line, and one in the paper which caused me horrible pain. I required emergency surgery for a rupturing appendix, innundated with medical bills. Then I had to quit my job. I fell at work, and injured my shoulder before moving, but it finallyhealed, I slipped on a tiny little spot of ice, tiny. It had come the first snow and rain. I had a car wreck, chest injury, which was never treated. I also have respiratory problems. Confined one winter due to next to no money. Nothing to do, hardly any income. I mean, no physical exercise, I gained weight, couldn't go much of any where but to buy groceries. Then I got down sick. I have not recovered,and I am ill. I do not do volunteer work. I did some before and it got me into trouble, they thought I was made to do it. I was not. If they say "pay back" that makes my blood boil. I have had nothing but abuse in the work force, gross, including being physically assaulted and battered x 4, almost murdered, due to trying to work. I will not be doing volunteer work. I have no criminal record, nor should I have. I have never done illegal drugs, never shoplifted. I am not a criminal. I have never been on VR and i payed my student loan back while I lived in dire poverty, dire, doing work that nearly killed me living in a "little house" with no running water for a long time, wood heat, no ac, carried water, carried wood and worked for minimum wage, slightly above and below, part time while ruining my teeth, lungs, guts, legsALL THE THINGS I WENT to school to avoid. This was very costly to me int rms of health, youth, I could have gone on and majored in something else, I was not that old. Here, it is ancient. This was done to me by someone who did not believe in higher education for women, religious groups. They messed me over in high school, due to having been grossly discriminated against including threats of violence, then violence, and gave the blacks something. I thought my mother was not white, she was not, no one would tell me her race,, but I know not what.At DFS, I was done in for another group. Here, I was done in for the seniors. I am doing nothing wrong to cause this. I am not crazy. I have been done that way, then money exchanges hands to placate the groups. I get the shaft,they get the gold mine.I would not have given them anything, ever.We were poor, very poor, and Innever expected to become poorer from school, to work for minimum wage. I went to college, to avoid poverty, for my family to have a nice standard of living, had that not been painted as going to happen, I would never have set foot in college.I am a conservative Christian. Here, it was due to being unmarried, female. It really was not my age. They got their money, again, I got the shaft. I paid my student loan, which was small. I went to college on a strict budget, we had no grants or scholarships, just a small loan, myhusband's wages. I also had to put my children into Christian schools due to violence toward us. The persons victimizing us, did not want me to do anything at all. I am not a fighter, I am a peace loving person, but not a pacifist. My kids nd husband were supportive while I went to college. He died. I am uable to work, could not finish my degree due to being unable to get employment in my profession. It would have been impossible with the steady stream of intruders in my apartmnt reading all I write, getting into my things. I cannot sew or knit for a living. i can only do a little at a time. I am going t have to tk days off the pc due to it hurting me now to type. There is not much of anything I can do for long. I do my housework, one room at a time. IF I had been allowed to get out ino the community, visit thiings, churches, etc, I would not have got down so sick, if i coudhav had medical care and medicine I would not have become ill. Being stuck inside all the time makes me crazy, all I want to do is eat. I cannot een go to the grocery store without eing in a panic to get back. Ihave been screwed in about every way it is possible to screw a femle and I am not taking any ore of it. I am not going to work. I have a psychopath who has a little group and has been stalking me for a long time, making my life hell, aborting and ruining everything I try to do that s normal for a heterosexua christian female.

  I don't know, maybe you should look up the EEOC and see if you feel that they are an organization which could help you perhaps.
