What's the difference between a province and a district?

Some questions about the legislative branch?

  • Alright, we have a test on Wednesday, and I still don't get some of this. Whats the difference between the are the "primary responsibilities of congress" and the "expressed powers" of congress the same thing? Just primary responsibilities are what they actually do and powers are what they have the right to do? What are the formal qualifications to be a senator and a rep? And for a senator, is it Citizen and lived 9 years in the US, the State, or that district? For rep, is it lived 7 years in the state, US, or district? Why are there only 2 senators per state? Why is the senate the upper house and house lower house?

  • Answer:

You have to be 30 or over to be in the Senate and 25 or over to be in the Reps You also would have to be a citizen in the US for 7 years for Reps and 9 for Senate The Constitution says so. Why they choose only two i don't know, maybe because to begin with the Senate was not directly elected for as it is today. because it is seen as a more prestigious role to be in the Senate and it is often perceived as the more powerful of the two.
