What is your Opinion to Vote on "None of the above" Voting Option in Election system India?
-
i read that Anna Hazare said that need reform in voting system, talking about electronic voting machines and vote to "None of the above" Voting option in current Election voting system in India (means that if i don't like available candidates because of so n so reasons,i vote on "None of above", that also means that i m going to vote for sure, but i don't think anyone deserve my vote). So my Question is : What is your Opinion to Vote on "None of the above" Voting Option in Election system India?? Please share your Opinions on it. .

Answer:
Exercise of rejection of all candidate under Election Rule 49(O) sends signals to the parties that the people are not ready to choose any of the candidates, due to lack of trust or merit, that the voter is not prepared to take whoever the parties field under their banners! This would send alerts to parties to choose more worthy candidate or forego the people support. This would lead to less criminals and crorepathis being selected to contest. There is no ruling on what to do if the exercise of rejection of all candidates exceeds the maximum vote polled by any candidate! We would like the election to be cancelled and fresh poll ordered for such constituency. And we would like the EC to charge the cost of repeat election from the major contesting parties! But would Govt enact such provision in the rules? As it is, people have not exercised this option so far in any big way and the matter is discussed only of late, in the wake of more discredited (anti socials with criminal background) thugs and money bags (black money holders, shady / big business wallahs) contesting elections! So the question of what to do if the 49(O) wins shall arise only if the situation is seen in many places. Else the next majority winner would go the Law making body, as per existing rules!

Yes,I fully support the presence of this option. Today's political parties (all of them) are quite corrupt. The only difference is of more or Little less. After every five years, a new or old party comes to loot us. Does India deserve such a fate!!! The presence of such an option will surely prevent unhealthy politics and also help in preventing the entry of criminals in our government. Moreover, it will force the parties to give tickets only to those who have no criminal connection. It will be thus a milestone in India's History.

Anna ji has emerged as the silver lining behind the dark cloud of corruption. In his speech he said some wonderful things like "Right to Reject" & "Right to Recall." I completely support these two acts. ______________________________________… ѕυρρσят αииα нαzαяє נι'ѕ мσνємєит. ¢αℓℓ αт тнє вєℓσω gινєи иυмвєя. 02261550789
Yes, doing so is correct, in the sense, you are not giving room for rigging the election process by misusing your vote!

The political parties do not set up candidates for election on merit .The first criteria is the illegal money that they pay secretly to the leader for being accepted as a candidate . Corruption is born there itself .. Secondly in addition to that, the length of his seniority in the party and his capacity to gather a large number of people by spending on the provision of Briyani and country liquor to the people goatherd , for demonstration agitation destruction etc . Thirdly a strong record of Criminal background commanding a lot of desperate rowdies . .Fourthly a member of the majority community in the area . These are unwritten criteria of selection . So hardly any candidate with decent background with respectable education and record of public service is found contesting the election.Only those who would support the leader of the party and his /her family to amass wealth and clout would be found in the list .So naturally people mostly would prefer to vote to none of the candidates set of by political parties .The few independents are also normally not men of good back ground Decent people with good education and record of social service shun elections ..This is the problem in India .So the button of no choice would at least show to the world that there are more number of people in the constituency who do not want the candidate than those who selected him .This may lead to another revolution that might result in reforming the election rules . It might take some moe centuries before India could be refined . Even with a very less number of votes ,say, with tens or hundreds of votes ,one might win an election as no minimum percentage of votes to be secured is prescribed .The funny part of it is that a minimum number of proposers are required in the application form for candidature ; but no minimum per cent age of votes is prescribed for the election of any candidate .That is incredible India ! Now that the exercise of this option of rejection is not secret , people would certainly be afraid of being attacked by the thugs of political parties for rejecting their candidares .The lack of the right to exercise this option of rejection 49(O) secretly exposes people to danger .The ruling political parties have done this purposely to discourage the people from exercising this option.
