Strange letter in the mail box?

Have you ever received a ripped up letter in the mail box?

• have any of you guys have received a ripped up letter when you check your inbox? this guy is calling me a scammer cuz i told i didn't receive his stuff and he's calling me a scammer i told him the letter was destroyed when i 1st got it. i only receieve the bottom part of the ripped letter and today he sent me the top part of the ripped letter

  yes. it is not incredibly common but it does happen sometimes. letters can get ripped in the equipment that the post office uses to sort the mail. if the post office (or the mailman/mail carrier) notices that a letter has been destroyed, they will retrieve all the pieces they are able to find and mail it all to the recipient in special packaging with a paragraph explaining that the letter was damaged during mail handling and their apologies. if you cannot produce that packaging to confirm it was damaged then you cant prove it was damaged by the postal service.
