How to go about getting a new birth certificate without ID?

I need a new birth certificate from germany?

  • Over these last few weeks i ended up accidentally washing my birth certificate with my clothes... The hard part is i have no idea as to how to go about getting a new one.. my father was stationed in the military and i was born in germany on u.s soil .. im stumped any help would be appreciated... btw i have my s.s.n but no government issued id.. the mvd turned down my old B.C that got washed in the mail and need to get a new one ASAP.

    If you were born on US Soil, it should be a US birth certificate. I would try to get in touch with your local government office that deals with SSN and such. They will know what you need to do to get a duplicate, or at least start you on the right path. Good luck! Edit: Interesting. I have two birth certificates, I was born in Germany as well, but not on US Soil, so I have German Birth Certificate, and a US one (because my parents were US, and my Dad was in the army). Unfortunately I don't have any other advice. Maybe call back and tell them the number doesn't seem to be working? Or do you know exactly which hospital you were born at? Maybe you could find out their number and call them directly to see if they still have a copy? Hope you can get it worked out!

so sorry to hear that you feel you don't exist without government validation. My father's side has been in the USA since 1620 (256 years before there was a USA) and my mother's since 1818. In all that time I was the only to be insulted with a state issued birth certificate, and I burned it years ago. The government needs to be validated by me, I don't need the government's validation

If I were you I'd contact the US Embassy or Consulate in Germany; if they can't help you I don't know who can.
