Can I get SSI for A.D.D?

Receiving SSI?

  • A lot of people receive SSI. I heard that it is to help people that can't get jobs because they have disabilities that keep them from working. I also know that there are a lot of people who have full time jobs and also receive SSI. WHy? If you can work, why do you have SSI? Also, I heard that if a person receives SSI, they are protected more by the gov't. If they or one of their family members are harassed or bothered by their enemies or any people, these SSI people or their family members can report it to the gov't and the gov't can protect them and sue their enemies. Is that true? Why is that? Is someone with ADHD, ADD, LD or dyslexia qualified for SSI? I heard it is possible.

SSI is a suplement to Social Security. I would suggest that you look it up under your state disability act
