Why India Still Remains Poorest Country?

After 62 years of independence, India still remains to be a developing country.?

  • this is for elocution...plz help me...:)

  • Answer:

because of the faulty economic and political policies of the rulers. because most of the people lack motivation to develop as they believe in karma theory. because education and power are concentrated in few families. because Indians don't bother about their country but become aggressive when their caste or compound wall of their home, is attacked by others. we select players of cricket and participants in Olympics ,if they belong to our caste or religion. we must learn a lesson or two from countries like japan and china. the aim of every educated Indian is to get green card but not to wipe out the tears of the miserable people. because, you can see in yahoo India, some religious fascists always think about their religion but never post a question about the gender, economic, political, social disparities.

Yes, India is considered a "developing" country. Some of the U.S. businesses who have very profit-driven CEOs and Boards (greed-driven is more like it) have moved to India, where the average annual salary is $300 per year. By the 19th century, Britain claimed rule over all Indian land until a peaceful coup in 1947. Indian armed forces were mixed with British forces for both WW1 and WW2. In 1947, nonviolent resistance to British rule that was led by Mohandas Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru gave India its independence, and the subcontinent was divided into two: the secular state of India and the smaller Muslim state of Pakistan. A war between these two countries in 1971 produced the separate state of Bangladesh (formerly East Pakistan). India has a massive overpopulation (1,080,264,388 people as of the 2005 Census) and faces other pressing problems: the ongoing dispute with Pakistan over Kashmir, environmental degradation, extensive poverty (exploited by greedy Western capitalists), and both ethnic and religious strife, even though the country has made some gains in economic investment and output. As a nation, they have a lot with which to deal and a lot to overcome, so yes they are still a developing country.

one indian is eqv. to four japanese but four indians are eqv to one japanese. unless all sections of socity are not made part of building the nation it will remain a developing country even after 100 years.

of-course.india became developed country in b.c. only.but foreigners robbered us.thats why now india is at this position.otherwise we can assume india's position.

I think we can say redeveloping country because if see history we see in past time a very develop country in world and occupier nation (British, holland and other countries) looted the most of sources and take away in there homeland and developed themselves see British what was there , nothing but when they occupied India then available to make them a develop country our fault is that we could not be unite and save our sources and leave us puppet in foreigner hands so we will say thay in this circumstance india is redeveloping country because one this region has been developed very well see our archeology and past history.

Most 3rd world countries experience that when they kick out the only people who are capable of governing them. Canada, Australia, and the US, are different in that sense because it wasn't the natives who overthrew their colonizers, but the local colonists who chose to self govern.

Because even after 62 years of power transfer (it was just transfer of power from the hands White British into the hands of "Kaley Angrez" (काले अँगरेज़), litrally Black English) we need a foreign language to carry out our daily activities. We are not self dependent even on this most important factor then how can you even imagine that this country would ever become a developed country. Name any single non-English developed country where English language is glorified. Name any non-English language developed country where people get jobs just because they know English. Name any non-English language developed country where people are considered literate becaue they can bark in English. You Indians have even corrupted the English language. I am damn sure that 90% of those who bark in English in India don't even know about million and billion and trillion. About verbs and sentence formation. About articles and many such simple things. Read this (http://www.rediff.com/money/2006/aug/23bpo.htm) So there is no surprize that why is India still a bloody third world country and it will remain like this forever until another foreign power reaches to rule your hearts and minds and most possibly it will be China this time. Edit (@ ap):- Rome was not built in a day but dear tell me that how much time does it take to build a 25 meter foot over bridge in India? More than 18 months and still pending. I'm talking about a footover bridge in Delhi. Obviously Rome was not built in a day but Tokyo (Japan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_post-war_economic_miracle)) and Seoul (South Korea (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miracle_on_the_Han_River)) were transformed into world class megapolises in 30-40 years time and all in Japanese and Korean. These are all excuses to hide your inferiority. We don't even have basic infrastructure in India like roadways and waterways and we talk of becoming superpower. Why? Because we have assumed that USA speaks in English and they are superpower so if we also start barking in English India will be a superpower. That's why India can't become a developed country. Do you even know that how many passengers are carried in buses in Delhi while the legal capacity is 80? The answer will shock you. Those buses become living hell. If any foreigner will see this they will thank God that they were not born in India. So dear first look at ground realities and keep your foot on ground. These shining malls and BPOs will lead us to nowhere but slavery.
