Can you work for one state (Washington state) and live in a different state (Idaho)?

I'm not talking about state tax laws, but actually working for the state of Washington and then moving to Idaho while still working for Washington state.

Answer:
You would need to contact the Human Resources Department of the agency in state of Washington. States are within their rights to insist that all state employees live in state. I don't know if Washington state has that requirement. You need to ask.
