Different Name and DOB in Birth & School certificate?

• Due to unaware of legal complication, I had taken a passport at the age of 20 by providing of my birth certificate (which also a legal document to obtain a passport). In the birth certificate I have name for instance “MyFirstName + MyLastName”. In the School certificate I have "MyFirstName + Mother Initial” The DOB also different in both certificates. I am an NRI more than 19 years living aborad. Upon taking of the passport which was issued as per my Birth Certificate (MyFirstName + MyLastName”), I used the name in the passport and birth certificate in all my documents (i.e. property, children passport, marriage certificate, children school certificate, wife’s passport etc..) because I want to continue my name as per in my passport and birth certificate. Due to this, I am now not able to produce my school certificate along with passport as they are different in terms of name and DOB. Now, I need to resolve this as quickly as possible. I want to continue my name as in my passport and birth certificate. What is the best of doing this? Someone advised me to advertise change of name in the "Gazette" to change name from school certificates as name in the birth certificate. My concern is if I do this change of name now (for instance in 2010) is there any impact on my passport which was first issued in 1992? Basically I need to maintain my name in all legal records as per the name in my birth Certificate as well in the passport. The passport I have taken as per Birth certificate. Pls help and advise...
