Transit visa at Spanish airport (Barajas, Madrid)?

Do my wife and i require Schengan visa if we are travelling through Madrid airport?

• Hi I'm an Indian citizen with an Indian passport. I'm currently working in Dominican Republic and hold a Business visa for Dominican Republic. My wife has a tourist visa for Dominican Republic. I would be travelling back to India through Madrid. My transit in Madrid would be for 4hrs. I arrive at Terminal 1 and leave from Terminal 4. Do we require a Transit Visa?
