How to get ready for a Visa Interview?

On average, how long does it take to get an interview at the US embassy for a Fiance Visa?

  • I am from the UK and my fiance visa petition was approved. I have collected all the paperwork I need that was on the checklist, filled out and sent the checklist back to the US embassy in London to let them know I am ready for an interview. I have made an appointement for my medical. But how long do I have to wait now to recieve my interview date? I am missing my fiance so much and it pains me not knowing when I will get to see him again! Answers are appreciated from people with similar experience. Thankyou

Did your fiance apply in the U S or U K [he would of had to live in the U K for over one year] If he did apply in the U K a few weeks If he applied in the U S many months Make sure you have all your paper work done correctly before the interview i e on his tax return they well want to see original signatures They interview over 100 each and well only take a few mins with you But behind the window many are reviewing your paper work If it is a minor mistake they well let you correct it Don't lie they know all the tricks
