How do i get an urgent Visa interview?

I am a student in India and Ive been admitted to a University in Florida, USA. I just received my i20 recently, and I need to be in Florida by the 4th of Jan. But now, when I try to get a Visa interview, the website shows that none of the days are available for an interview till december end. Can anyone tell me how to fix an urgent appointment in December itself, so that I may be able to leave to the US immediately.

Usually urgent appointment are only given in case of emergency, e.g. a family member falling ill. The fact that you did not apply in time is normally not sufficient reason to let you jump the queue. Call the US embassy and ask if you can get an earlier appointment - but don't get your hopes up too high.
