Is it hard for a Mexican to get a tourist visa to Canada?

How likely will it be for me to get a visitors/tourist Visa for Canada?

  • I'm from Morocco (casablanca). I'm interested in going to Canada... most likely Toronto, around December. Just to get away, sight see, see some friends. I have a few buddies who live there. I have saved up quite a lot over the years and would be able to support myself there during my stay. I also have a full time job to come back too.... seeing as how they would want some proof for you to return. All my family is here and my job is too good to leave. Is it hard to get a visitors/tourist visa for Canada from Morocco? any other tips or things I should be aware of? also, I'm a 24 yr old male. If that matters. (I don't really have any major assets... just really this money I have saved over the years). I still live at home.

    You should have the following: (1) Valid credit card such as MasterCard and Visa (2) Proof of roundtrip ticket to/from Canada (3) Purchase health insurance from a Travel Health Insurance issuer (4) List all places you plan on staying/visiting (5) A certificate of good conduct issued by the Moroccan police can help also in case you have a record. This will prevent any problems at the airport. (6) Proof that you'll return back to Morocco such as job, property, etc. (7) Bank statements

Basically you will have to prove that you can support yourself for the duration of your visit, make sure to have contact information for the friends you are visiting if you plan on staying with them, they may have to verify this. You will also (most likely) have to prove that you have ties in Morocco which will ensure that you leave Canada at the end of your planned visit (job, investments, property, etc.). I have included a link which outlines reasons a visa may be denied. Best, of course, to check with the Canadian Visa office in your area, which I have also provided a link for. Providing you have a clean background and enough money to pay your own way during your stay, I don't see a problem.
