Do you still need to have a visa to Brazil?

Need help with brazil visa details?

  • I am currently in Brazil and my 90 days expires on the 5th of August. My Mum arrives in Montevideo, Uruguay, on the 7th of August where I will meet her then we are planning to travel to Rio de Janeiro and various places in Brazil. Can I extend my visa or do I need to have a reason, eg, trouble with the law, urgent medical attention blah blah. Orrrr, can I enter Uruguay then re-enter brazil or do I have to wait another 90 days before re-entering? Also, can I have a visa organised for my mother that we can pick up when she arrives?
