What are the requirements for applying for us tourist visa? what are requirements for applying for fiance visa

  • i am a us citizen with a boyfriend of 2 years. i am leaving the philippines permanently to live in the u.s.. i want to help my boyfriend get into the u.s.. he already has a passport all he needs is a visa. what does he need to apply for this? bank statements? i could petition him for a fiances visa but i would do that as my last resort because we will have to marry within 90 days of approval of visa. we don't want to get married for the wrong reasons. also what are the requirements for fiance visa?

The fiancee visa is a K-1 visa application packet. You have to marry within 90 days of him arriving. If you are not willing to marry him, then do not apply for this visa. You can't bring him here just because you want to. 1000's of filipinos want to come to America, but can't, because there are no visas available. Your boyfriend is not special. He has to stay in the Philippines. Don't break the law. I am married to a filipina, and the process of getting her spousal visa (k-3) was long and exhausting, but we were married and did it the legal way. If I wanted to apply for visas for her sisters to come here, it is a 22 year wait. Why should your boyfriend come here any sooner than my wife's sisters? Short of marrying him for true love, there is NO way to bring him here without breaking the law. Getting a tourist visa or work visa is almost impossible, unless you or him are extremely rich and well connected. Even then he might be out of luck.

write to the consulate extending him an invitation to visit you- that might help him get a visa-also consider marrying him if you truly want that-otherwise with all the new security measures it will ge very difficult to get him here! Fiance visas require you to marry within a certain time frame, establish your ability to support him financially, and subject yourself to alot of scrutiny-think carefully!!!

i think if they know you're story they WON'T give you a tourist visa because once he's in he has little reason to leave and he would certainly seem like someone who has an interest in staying past 90 days.
