Spanish Visa from Morocco?

Transit visa to Spain! Going Morocco?

  • Transit visa to Spain! Going Morocco? Hello, My husband is a Moroccan National with a Moroccan passport! I am a British Citizen. We are going Morocco, Tangers but via Spain, Madrid flying with Easy Jet. My question is does he need a transit visa, we won't be changing terminals, we don't have any baggage to check in we will only have our daughters buggy which we will put in the plane holding area! We have a two hour wait going and a 5 hour wait on our return! Easy Jet have said he doesn't but I can't really rely on them. I have also been advised that when boarding immigration will check passports so this has suggested that he might need a visa? Oh and also I have been to the Spanish Embassy here in London and they haven't been able to say whether he needs one or not!! Any advise would be great Thanks

  • Answer:

The airline is the one that determines whether or not they'll let you on the plane. If they tell you there is no transit visa needed, that means that their flight will arrive and depart from the same terminal, and you won't have to pass through immigration as long as you don't try to leave the terminal.
