• My boyfriend filed a k1 visa so we can get married in the U.S.I know that one of the requirements for the visa is the medical exam.i have problem with my spine,are they really strict about that?

  No they are not concermed about issues with your spine. Their concern is about infectious diseases that may cause a danger to the American public. The basic rquirements of the examination are medical and immunization history, physical examination, mental status examination, full chest x-ray (for those over 15 and not pregnant), blood tests including test for syphilis, HIV, and possible sputum smear examination. If necessary the doctors will administer vacinations as needed. The costs for this exam vary country by country, clinic by clinic, but generally will fall between $150 and $250 US. Once you have completed the exam, you will most likely be given a sealed envelope with the clinical results and X-rays.
