Can you pay for your passport in cash?

Whether passport applications downloaded from Passport site is acceptable in PP office?

  • I am in urgent need of applying passport and I donot have time to get application from Passport office. hence i prefer to download the same from Passport office, tamilnadu site and apply. Whether there will be any problem in applying passport using the downloaded application form and whether it is acceptable in passport office? Also kindly clarify the mode of payment of passport fee (tatkal) i.e. can i pay it in cash or only Demand Draft?

Yes they are accepted. If you want an expideted passport, be prepared to pay extra! Google passports...It has sites than get you a passport in as little as 4 days...They accept credit cards...but they are expensive..The price you pay for not waiting the 6 weeks.

There shoudn't be a problem..though I do advise calling the passport office and informing them that you will be using a downloaded application..that should help get the bugs out Also have a Money Order to pay for your Passport application they do procees payment for in that office when you get there Hope that helped
