UK Paralegal Interview advice?

221g - CR1 Interview went smoothly but hand over BLUE letter stating that require AAP?

  • HI Guys I had my CR1 visa interview on 3rd Aug 2010 @ US Consulate London, I am beneficiary and my wife is US citizen. My interview time was in 9 am and i have been called nearly nearly 40 mins after my desired time, anyway interview was went smoothly, but let me clear here i am having previous visa rejection for student in India and also from UK i have been trying couple of times for VISITOR, so i think the CO has an obivious question that i want to move to USA at any cost. but our marriage is completely legimate and since we been in contact from Sept 08 and we got married in OCT 09. she bee to UK for 4 times to meet me and just we got married she went to US and then Nov 09 she again come back to london and we been living together. CO asked me all this detail and then CO asked me for my educational background and my Degree, current job title and responsibilities and also asked for my CV that CO wanted to see... at this time I was not carrying my CV so i said sorry I am having with me today..so CO hand it over the BLUE letter and stating that your application required additional processing so this is our fax number send us your CV on this and we can go further... i asked CO, that can i get some time i have make a printout only, she allowed me to do so and in just 15 mins time i went back to the desk and hand it over printout for my CV for their consideration, i was believing that this might over come the AP processing time but CO just took the CV and attached to my File and returned my Passport with my orignal Birth Certi and Marriage Certificate and advice me to wait untill Embassy to give me a call and on receiving the call from embassy I have to send my passport via courier...when I asked for the time limit (Aproxx) then Co replied we can't give definite time limit but minimum of 2 weeks... she took my intended arrival date in USA before the interview and note it down on my file. Can some one had an similar experience? is this because my previous rejection they put me in list some where and i am in a middle of the black night somewhere ...where to go...what to do ...have absolutely no idea ...Please some help on this ... Also I came here in UK on student visa and got the degree fromaccrediated college in 2005 but in 2009 that college was black listed in UK collges list) is that also will affect my cae??

  • Answer:

First, you do not have a right to immigrate to the United States. By getting married to a US citizen your spouse has the right to request you be considered for an immigrant visa. The USA can and does reject these applications for a whole, long list of reasons. The administrative processing could take a few weeks, a few months or years. There's no telling because nobody knows what their concern is and they are not required to tell you. All you can do is wait.
