How can I apply for American and Filipino dual citizenship?

If a person has dual citizenship- Filipino/American,and 16yr-old w/ no guardian, can she be deported to the US?

  • If a person has dual citizenship- Filipino/American,and a minor- 16yrs old w/ no guardian, can she be deported to the US? She has monthly money from her mother's pension and doesn't study/ not enrolled in any school. She lives alone in an apartment and goes out everyday wasting her allowance of 30thousand pesos a month. Shouldn't the government enforce her to study at least, or deport her back to US?

  • Answer:

In the Philippines her 30,000 pesos is more than a doctor earns each month. While legally she's supposed to be in school, you know as well as I do that laws like that aren't enforced in the Philippines. The streets are full of kids who are supposed to be in school. She's a citizen of the Philippines and she's got her own income. There's nothing she can be deported about.

Other answers

She cannot be deported for being a Filipino citizen (from dual citizenship) and for not studying. She's not breaking any laws and actually helps the Philippines economy by potentially spending 30k pesos a month. That's equivalent to about $680 a month which is also equivalent to the salary of 3 professional occupations in the Philippines. Hope this helps!

since she is from the Philippines, of course the Philippines cannot deport her, a country does not deport it's own citizens.

We don't want her, we have plenty of people that don't do sh*t as it is.
