How To Get A Birth Certificate From Corporation Of Chennai?

Need birth certificate to apply for passport.....?

  • I born at Chandigarh on 1985, I don't have birth certificate . Now i am staying in Chennai for the past 20 years, After applying passport , they asked birth certificate . My application is now incomplete help me how to resolve this problem ?. How to get Birth certificate ? Is any possibilities to alternate for birth certificate.

    An affidavit on stamp paper duly notarized by a Notary Public Office will be acceptable in lieu of Birth Certificate

if you were a government employee,you no need birth certificate.but you need,noc certificate.if you want birth crt,you have apply in court and it will take six months to get birth cert!it is legal.otherwise if you know any higher officers with their help,by giving some to munipality office,you can get but it is illegal!however you should not make any fake cert by yourself or others,it is dangerous.you won't get passport lifelong.because the passport office will sent a verification to municipality office.if it is found that your birth cert is duplicate,you will be punished.

If possible better you get your Birth Certificate from Chandigarh Municipal Corpn. Office where your parents might have registered your Date of Birth in 1985. If this is not available then you have to make an affidavit before a Magistrate and a copy of that affidavit may be attached with your Passport application.
