I have a passport question.

Getting a passport super fast...question about passport picture?

  • I'll be traveling to Canada (from US) on Dec. 9. I've never had a passport before. Since it's under two weeks away, I plan on going to a passport agency, probably on Wednesday. Now the question...will I need passport pictures BEFORE going to the agency, or since I'm going to the agency (which is different from applying at the post office or via mail), do I need the pictures done in advance? Thanks!

  • Answer:

Yes you must have the passport photos in order to process or submit any application for a passport. And only a few places can do fast processing: http://travel.state.gov/passport/hurry/hurry_831.html

Other answers

Bring the pictures. You can have them taken at Walmart. However, I think you're being very optimistic about getting your passport in time for your trip, unless your agency is one that issues them on site.
